As
leaders in the field of sport for development
Sport In Action acts as consultants to numerous
organisations. We have trained approximately
300 headteachers, sports teachers and coaches
in the facilitation of sport integrated
with health and life skills each year since
2000, working directly with Community Youth
Mobilisation (CYM), the Ministry of Education,
Student Partnerships Worldwide (SPW), UK
Sport, UNICEF, USAID, Volunteer Services
Overseas (VSO), Zingo and Zambian National
Aids Network (ZNAN).
As
a member of the international networks
International Alliance for Youth Sport
and Kicking AIDS Out we have also
trained teachers and peer coaches
in the facilitation of integrated
sport in Darfur, Fiji, Kenya, Papua
New Guinea, Rwanda, South Africa,
Uganda, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.

Mr.
Clement Chileshe, Sport In Action’s
Executive Director, has acted as a
sport for development consultant for
CARE International, Poetry Ireland,
the National Olympic Committee of
Trinidad and Tobago where he helped
develop a university degree in sport
for development, COJA the organisers
of the All Africa Games where he worked
directly with the Algerian Government
in 2007 advising them on the first
All Africa Games Youth Camp and, most
recently, the National Olympic Committee
of Zambia in the design and set up
of the Olympic Youth Development Centre,
a pilot community project for the
International Olympic Committee.
